I bring international experience to support you in the main challenges of your business.

Although I am originally Dutch, I have been living in several countries in order to learn new ideas from other cultures and ways of living and working. Not just for my personal development, but also to contribute and support for a better society in general.

When comparing countries, cultures or companies with each other, you always will find differences. It doesn't mean though that being different means better or worse than the other. It just means different and we have to accept that and to find the balance between them. As simple as it is...

I graduated my Master in Business Administration in the Netherlands in 2006 and before starting my career I did 6 months of volunteer work in Kenya, a unique experience that further strengthened my values of contributing to a better society.

I started my career in the Netherlands as an energy trader at RWE and after 4 years I joined Cargill in Switzerland working in the same sector and in a similar role. In 2014, I got closer to Cargill's core business and joined the grains (oils & seeds) team in Amsterdam, being responsible for trading and margin management of the soya business.

I fell in love with agribusiness, especially when being closer to the farmer and physical supply chain. With that in mind, in 2016 I moved from the Netherlands to Brazil to assume the position of Origination and Risk Manager at Cargill's Cocoa and Chocolate business in Brazil. During 5 years in this position I was responsible for risk management, origination of cocoa beans, market intelligence, the development of regional production projects & crop-forecast and, last but not least, for the implementation of several sustainability projects in all cocoa producing regions in Brazil.

I founded HB Consultoria to have a positive impact on the Brazilian agricultural sector and in particular on the cocoa supply chain

With over 15 years of experience in commodities, logistics, risk management, sustainability and always with a focus on customers, I believe I can contribute significantly for various participants in the agricultural sector and specifically in the area of cocoa. From small to large farmers and from small to larger industrial companies, we can foster new opportunities to optimize business processes and adding value in the short and long term.

I value hard and honest work, with an open and direct communication and always looking for improvements and new opportunities. And as a Dutch saying goes, which I really like: "Waar een wil is, is een weg", which translates to: where there is a desire, there is a road. In other words, and this represents my work and personal life, if you really want something, there is always a way to achieve it.

I am here to help your business grow and prosper

Connecting people, leveraging knowledge and working together will eventually lead to a positive result for all market participants. Looking forward to talking more in details how I could support in growing and eventually adding value to your business.
